History
The building was constructed in 1570 by Cesare Lamberti, likely based on designs by Francesco Morondi, also known as "le Terribilia". The interiors of the palace were adorned with frescoes depicting classical mythology. Between 1797 and 1804, the building was used by the Taruffi theater. Today, it houses the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Bologna.
PROJECT
The project involves the restoration of the 19th-century restoration. After the war, the palace, originally made of exposed terracotta, underwent extensive rehabilitation, including the reconstruction of the facade's ornaments that were originally made from sandstone.
Applications
During these works, 182 fiberglass rods and 1469 stainless steel rods were installed. PROMPT natural cement was used as a binder for the repair mortars, with a binder/sand ratio of 1:2.
